End Times Made Simple

There are three major events in the end times soon approaching.  They may be summarized:

  1. Tribulation
  2. Second Coming
  3. Millennium

The tribulation is a series of worldwide difficulties which culminate in an international attack on Israel (Matt. 24). The Second Coming occurs at the peak moment of that war when Jerusalem is about to be overwhelmed by enemy forces (Zech. 14). The Millennium is the Kingdom of God on earth for 1,000 years of peace and prosperity with Yeshua ruling as King (Rev. 20).

The term “tribulation” is connected to the time of Jacob’s “trouble” in the Hebrew prophets (Jer. 30:7, Dan. 12:1). During this time there is not only difficulty but also revival, evangelism, supernatural protection, purification of the Church, and the restoration of Israel.

The Second Coming is a “last minute” intervention by Yeshua as commander of the armies of YHVH to defeat the forces of evil (Rev 19).  At that time, demons will be driven out, the dead of the first resurrection raised, and true believers supernaturally “transported” to welcome Yeshua back to earth.

After this great war, the Messianic kingdom (Millennium) will start. Jerusalem will be the political and spiritual capital of the world. The government will be led by Yeshua and those who will rule together with Him.  There will be great peace, prosperity, and justice in this righteous society.

During the first century, there were also three main events (Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Pentecost).  Those three events took place on the three spring holy days (Passover, Omer, and Weeks). It would be biblically logical therefore that the events of the end times will take place on the three autumn holy days (Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles).
We could summarize the connection of the autumn holy days and the end times:

  1. Trumpets = Tribulation
  2. Atonement = Second Coming
  3. Tabernacles = Millennium

The world political-economic-social situation is already leading up to these events.  Yeshua compared this process to a woman in labor.  The pains start out light with more time between them; and then they become more intense and more quickly placed (John 16:21).

It is urgent that we repent and strengthen our faith to be able to stand in victory during the times before us.

What about the feast of Unleavened Bread? Isn’t that one of the spring feasts?

    • Jeffrey Pelton November 23, 2018 at 4:12 pm - Reply

Passover and the feast of Unleavened Bread refer to the same thing.

I have always understood there to be 7 in total, 4 Spring feasts that were fulfilled by Yeshua and 3 Autumn feasts left to be fulfilled.

Asher, we love how you continually simplify God’s amazing Word by breaking down these heafty truths into bite-sized chunks we can digest. Thank you for your witness of and devotion to Our King!

Thanks for sharing. I thought Trumpets would coincide with the resurrection of the saints.

I agree but why are the apostolic prophetic churches and latter rain people saying the Joel end time revival must come first to usher His return? That may be post meleniumism. Yeshua does not have to wait for the Church to bring reformaiin He is in control and will do thos in the millennium I believe.

    Dear Brother Asher,

From what I read, you don’t seem to include a Rapture of the Church prior to the Tribulation beginning.. This needs to be addressed in light of the scripture that says, “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” I Thess. 5:9…We must keep in mind that the Tribulation Period is the time of the wrath of the Lamb, and the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, often referred to as the 70th week of Daniel.. . The wrath of God is not to be poured out on His Bride, the Church because Yeshua already suffered the wrath of God against all our sins as He laid down His life on the altar of the Cross in our behalf.. Also, I’m reminded of the scripture to the Church of Philadelphia, “because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep the from the hour of temptation which shall come upon all the earth, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” Rev. 3;10.. and “Watch ye therefore, and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:36.. The Church, made up of believing Jews & Gentiles is never mentioned again after Rev. 4 until Yeshua’s return in Rev. 19. Please read I Thess 4:13-18.. Scripture reveals a mystery taking place with regards to the Bride.. We will be ushered into His Presence without first dying, be given eternal bodies, caught up to be with Him in the clouds to be with Him forever..The 70th week of Jacob’s Trouble, known also as the Great Tribulation lasting 7 years begins as the Church evacuates earth. Yeshua initiates the opening of the scroll in heaven by opening it’s seals and sending Judgment on an unbelieving world and a demonic Anti-Christ who will be in power until Yeshua removes him and the false Prophet at Armageddon to establish His rule on earth with His saints for 1000 years. His saints include all the resurrected faithful from the beginning of time.. Please advise me of any errors, humbly, Joseph Sheely , jesusthe1way@yahoo.com or by phone 330.332.0990.. In His Love, Brother Joe Sheely

      Hello Joseph,
I would like to respond to your statement if Asher would allow.
Paul made it extremely clear in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 that there is an Order to the Events preceding the Rapture.
Paul placed the Order as Follows
1/ The Coming/Parousia of Jesus Christ
2/ The Descending of Christ from Heaven
3/ The Trumpet of God sounding
4/ The Resurrection of the Dead
5/ And Finally the Rapture/ Being seized and moved from the earth into the clouds to meet Jesus in the air.
There are Two Clear Events that MUST take place prior to the Rapture!
The Parousia of Jesus Christ and The Resurrection of the Dead.
Paul himself said to the Church that Jesus Christ will NOT come to Gather us Together to Himself UNTIL first comes the Apostasy and the revealing of the Son of Perdition and Paul then goes on to say that Jesus Christ destroys that Son of Perdition with the Brightness of His Coming when He comes to Gather us Together to Himself.
That is Clearly a Post Tribulation Event as the Son of Perdition is Destroyed at that Coming.
Jesus Confirms this same Truth in Revelations 19 and 20 when He Himself states that He destroys the Beast and false Prophet and their armies.
Jesus Himself clearly states in Revelations 20 that it is The First Resurrection of the Dead.
Remember the Resurrection of the Dead happens before the Rapture as Clearly taught by Paul.
Also Jesus clearly taught the Church that He will Raise us Up at The Last Day and that Last day is the End of the Age.
Remember that Jesus said that His Seed will remain on the Earth together with the Tares UNTIL the End of The Age and then He will Harvest His Seed.
We MUST look at all Scripture that Speaks of that Wonderful Resurrection of Life.
Paul said we are not Appointed to “ORGE” a specific Greek Word used in Specific places in the New Testament.
The “ORGE” Wrath is NOT the “Thlipsis” Tribulation.
It is not wise to swap words and say that the Tribulation is the “ORGE” wrath.
Please Brother grab a Concordance and look at where the Greek Word “Orge” is used especially in Revelations.
It is True, we are NOT appointed to that “ORGE” of Jesus Christ which happens at His Coming because we will OBTAIN Salvation on that Day!
Revelations 3:10 does NOT say that Jesus will remove us from the Time of Testing, it clearly states that He will Guard us from the Testing, He will keep an eye on us If we Keep His Patience.
We put Sun Cream on us to Guard us from the Sun, it protects us from the Sun but we must always apply that Sun Cream so that we will be guarded from the effects of the Sun.
The Sun Cream does NOT remove us from the Sun.
There is not one Verse in Scripture where Jesus states that He is Coming before the Tribulation and again there is not one verse in Scripture where it states that the Resurrection of the Dead is before the Tribulation.
We must align what we believe with what is Clearly declared in Scripture!
I would challenge you to open your Bible and see what Gods Word declares rather than the words of men that change scripture.
Don’t simply believe all that you hear, make sure it aligns with Scripture.
There is no Verse in Scripture that supports a Pre Tribulation Coming of Christ or a Pre Tribulation
I would like to share with you more on this matter if you have any concerns if Asher would allow.
Last Days Detective is a brilliant You Tube Channel by Robert L Adams and he has written the Best Two Books I have ever read regarding the Return of Jesus Christ

    Dear Asher,

    Thank you for sharing!

My comment is a difficult question, related deeply to the book of Revelation .

My mind cannot approach the prophecy of the Millenium rule of Christ and Saints.

How to study it, how to approach this mystery?

It seems to lack any “logical” connection with all other prophecies.

    Why Millenium? Why 1000 years?

    Kind regards,

    A.Hendricx, Netherlands

Thank you for your teaching! So good and so helpful! I have one question: When (in terms of the end times events) is the rapture of the Church expected to happen? There is so much discussion about pre-trib, mid-trib and end of trib rapture scenarios. At the moment I am hoping for pre-trib but also getting myself ready to go through it. I’d love to know the perspective of Revive Israel on this.

Thanks, Asher. What do you say to the many who believe that the Church will not go through the tribulation…saved from God’s wrath…but that during the tribulation period the Lord will primarily be dealing with Israel and their mission to the world. I am not invested in either stance as I am ready whenever but the different points of view do lead to different responses.
    Thx.
    Ann

      Hello Ann,
Sadly some in the Church Teach that the Tribulation is the Wrath of God but that is NOT the Case, they swap words around.
The Tribulation (Thlipsis) period is not the “Orge” Wrath of Jesus Christ.
When you read Revelation it clearly states in various Verses that the “Orge” wrath of Jesus Christ only begins at His Coming when He comes to destroy the Beast and the False Prophet and after the Signs are seen in the Sun, Moon and Stars etc which are only seen after the Tribulation has ended.
I can strongly recommend buying a Book called “The Unveiling” by Robert L Adams which looks at this Very Issue.
He also has a Brilliant You Tube Channel called Last Days Detective and his Videos and excellent and short.
You can buy his Books on Amazon

What about the RAPTURE as is termed by most NT believers, hoping they would be ushered up to meet Christ before the “man of perdition” arrives on the scene during the tribulation period?

    • David Williams January 3, 2019 at 1:00 am - Reply

      Hello Vel,
Paul makes it extremely Clear in 2 Thessalonians 2 that Jesus will NOT come and Gather us Together to Himself until Two Things Happen First
      1/ The Apostasy
2/ The Revealing of the Son of Perdition.
The Coming of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of the Dead and Rapture CANNOT and WILL NOT happen until the Apostasy takes place AND the Son of Perdition is Revealed.
Paul says that Jesus actually destroys that Son of Perdition when He Comes to Gather us Together to Himself, which clearly makes it a Post Tribulation Coming of Christ and Rapture.
Jesus Himself Confirms this same Truth in Revelations 19 and 20 where Jesus even Tells us when The First Resurrection of the Dead takes place.
It is important to Know that the Word Rapture/Harpazo in the Greek means to be seized and moved, it is not an Event it is an Action and it is by this Action that we are Gathered to meet Jesus in the Clouds.
It is also important to Know that Paul said the Following is the Sequence at the Coming of Christ.
      1/ The Coming/Parousia of Jesus
      2/ The Trumpet of God
3/ The Resurrection of the Dead
4/ Then the Rapture/Being Seized and Moved to meet Jesus.
We must look at all of the Verses that speak of Christs “Coming/Parousia” and the “Resurrection of the Dead”
Then we will be in Harmony with Gods Word and His Word declares the Doctrine that we must believe and Teach.
      I hope this Helps!

Thank you! I see what you are saying except two questions.

    1. I thought the end times church would be not so much revived and purified as apostate, 2 Thes. 2:3 ? (I hope you’re right!)

    2. What about the Feast of Trumpets for the resurrection of the dead (1 Thes. 4:16)? Might this be the same as the 7th trumpet of Rev. 11:15? In your thinking that the Feast of Trumpets marks the beginning of the Tribulation, are you rather aligning it with the sounding of the 1st trumpet, Rev. 8:6-7?
