End Times Made Simple

There are three major events in the end times soon approaching.  They may be summarized:

  1. Tribulation
  2. Second Coming
  3. Millennium

The tribulation is a series of worldwide difficulties which culminate in an international attack on Israel (Matt. 24). The Second Coming occurs at the peak moment of that war when Jerusalem is about to be overwhelmed by enemy forces (Zech. 14). The Millennium is the Kingdom of God on earth for 1,000 years of peace and prosperity with Yeshua ruling as King (Rev. 20).

The term “tribulation” is connected to the time of Jacob’s “trouble” in the Hebrew prophets (Jer. 30:7, Dan. 12:1). During this time there is not only difficulty but also revival, evangelism, supernatural protection, purification of the Church, and the restoration of Israel.

The Second Coming is a “last minute” intervention by Yeshua as commander of the armies of YHVH to defeat the forces of evil (Rev 19).  At that time, demons will be driven out, the dead of the first resurrection raised, and true believers supernaturally “transported” to welcome Yeshua back to earth.

After this great war, the Messianic kingdom (Millennium) will start. Jerusalem will be the political and spiritual capital of the world. The government will be led by Yeshua and those who will rule together with Him.  There will be great peace, prosperity, and justice in this righteous society.

During the first century, there were also three main events (Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Pentecost).  Those three events took place on the three spring holy days (Passover, Omer, and Weeks). It would be biblically logical therefore that the events of the end times will take place on the three autumn holy days (Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles).
We could summarize the connection of the autumn holy days and the end times:

  1. Trumpets = Tribulation
  2. Atonement = Second Coming
  3. Tabernacles = Millennium

The world political-economic-social situation is already leading up to these events.  Yeshua compared this process to a woman in labor.  The pains start out light with more time between them; and then they become more intense and more quickly placed (John 16:21).

It is urgent that we repent and strengthen our faith to be able to stand in victory during the times before us.

What about the feast of Unleavened Bread? Isn’t that one of the spring feasts?

Passover and the feast of Unleavened Bread refer to the same thing.

Asher, we love how you continually simplify God’s amazing Word by breaking down these heafty truths into bite-sized chunks we can digest. Thank you for your witness of and devotion to Our King!

Thanks for sharing. I thought Trumpets would coincide with the resurrection of the saints.

I agree but why are the apostolic prophetic churches and latter rain people saying the Joel end time revival must come first to usher His return? That may be post meleniumism. Yeshua does not have to wait for the Church to bring reformaiin He is in control and will do thos in the millennium I believe.

    Dear Brother Asher,

From what I read, you don’t seem to include a Rapture of the Church prior to the Tribulation beginning.. This needs to be addressed in light of the scripture that says, “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” I Thess. 5:9…We must keep in mind that the Tribulation Period is the time of the wrath of the Lamb, and the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, often referred to as the 70th week of Daniel.. . The wrath of God is not to be poured out on His Bride, the Church because Yeshua already suffered the wrath of God against all our sins as He laid down His life on the altar of the Cross in our behalf.. Also, I’m reminded of the scripture to the Church of Philadelphia, “because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep the from the hour of temptation which shall come upon all the earth, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” Rev. 3;10.. and “Watch ye therefore, and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” Luke 21:36.. The Church, made up of believing Jews & Gentiles is never mentioned again after Rev. 4 until Yeshua’s return in Rev. 19. Please read I Thess 4:13-18.. Scripture reveals a mystery taking place with regards to the Bride.. We will be ushered into His Presence without first dying, be given eternal bodies, caught up to be with Him in the clouds to be with Him forever..The 70th week of Jacob’s Trouble, known also as the Great Tribulation lasting 7 years begins as the Church evacuates earth. Yeshua initiates the opening of the scroll in heaven by opening it’s seals and sending Judgment on an unbelieving world and a demonic Anti-Christ who will be in power until Yeshua removes him and the false Prophet at Armageddon to establish His rule on earth with His saints for 1000 years. His saints include all the resurrected faithful from the beginning of time.. Please advise me of any errors, humbly, Joseph Sheely , or by phone 330.332.0990.. In His Love, Brother Joe Sheely

    Dear Asher,

    Thank you for sharing!

My comment is a difficult question, related deeply to the book of Revelation .

My mind cannot approach the prophecy of the Millenium rule of Christ and Saints.

How to study it, how to approach this mystery?

It seems to lack any “logical” connection with all other prophecies.

    Why Millenium? Why 1000 years?

    Kind regards,

    A.Hendricx, Netherlands

Thank you for your teaching! So good and so helpful! I have one question: When (in terms of the end times events) is the rapture of the Church expected to happen? There is so much discussion about pre-trib, mid-trib and end of trib rapture scenarios. At the moment I am hoping for pre-trib but also getting myself ready to go through it. I’d love to know the perspective of Revive Israel on this.

Thanks, Asher. What do you say to the many who believe that the Church will not go through the tribulation…saved from God’s wrath…but that during the tribulation period the Lord will primarily be dealing with Israel and their mission to the world. I am not invested in either stance as I am ready whenever but the different points of view do lead to different responses.

What about the RAPTURE as is termed by most NT believers, hoping they would be ushered up to meet Christ before the “man of perdition” arrives on the scene during the tribulation period?

There are three major events in the end times soon approaching. How SOON is SOON? What does the word soon mean? What a abuse of language! Shalom

Thank you! I see what you are saying except two questions.

    1. I thought the end times church would be not so much revived and purified as apostate, 2 Thes. 2:3 ? (I hope you’re right!)

    2. What about the Feast of Trumpets for the resurrection of the dead (1 Thes. 4:16)? Might this be the same as the 7th trumpet of Rev. 11:15? In your thinking that the Feast of Trumpets marks the beginning of the Tribulation, are you rather aligning it with the sounding of the 1st trumpet, Rev. 8:6-7?
